Howdy,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am excited to announce that we are going to take a second run at starting an FCA program here in Bluff Dale. We had an entry organizational meeting today and 14 high school students attended. We spent the time to allow the students to tell us what they want and how they want it to work for them. Our new plan is to serve them a hot and ready breakfast once a week, have luncheons on half-days (& other special occasions), and lastly monthly after school game-day meals. I think this is a great opportunity to share and serve them, and for them to do the same both among themselves and their peers. So what is FCA you may ask, FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. You do not have to be an athlete or a christian to come to FCA, that's the whole point of this organization. To give these students another opportunity to come to Jesus on their own and be an outlet for them to share their experiences and enjoy each other's time building a community together.

Now in order to achieve our goals we need some kind of support to feed these kids once a week. The dues we all agreed on is 25$ a year, this will pay for their meals. At some point down the line we intend to have a fundraiser (Giveback night at Chik-fil-A in Granbury) to help build our fund. We also plan to use these funds to have some kind of field trip and a t-shirt.
So as of now, our plans are every Thursday at 7 am in Coach Cooley’s room we will have FCA paired with hot breakfast provided to students.
If you would like to volunteer, donate, or help in any kind of way please do not hesitate to reach out!!
Respectfully,
Gaeron Cooley
